Rev Matching If you want to prolong the life of your transmission try rev matching. I got into the habit when I had my RX-7 a while back and so now instead of slamming into gear I'm at least within the RPM range of my next shift.

I'm planning on going TWM with Kartboy bushings. TWM also has the heat shield spacers which is a nice touch instead of having to bend the shield. Here's my photoshopped pic of different brands along side of the shifter. I was trying to get a general idea of shaft heights and below the pivot point.

I believe it's the only kit to actually supply heat shield spacers.

I'm thinking TWM and kartboy bushings myself. I find that after driving awhile my elbow feels "tired". I think the shifter sits a tad closer than what I'm used too. I'm hoping a shorter throw and lessened height may help alleviate my elbow ache.

Here's a side by side (maybe not terribly accurate) view of some currently available SS for the MP5. I did this to get an idea of the differences in height between the stock and aftermarket levers. Kartboy appears to be the smallest with B&M being the tallest.

I believe they call it leatherette or something. I may be mistaken but I've heard that it's supposed to be a bit more durable than leather in terms of fading and/or cracking. Doesn't matter to me as long as it ain't cloth. I have a constant battle with dog hairs.
