In the RX8 there was a way to reset the ECU manually, not sure what the technical stuff behind it but you: 1. Hold the odo reset button in while you turn the battery on (not the car) and hold for about 10 seconds, you'll see the word test appear and you can scroll through these weird menu's...

I have had mine for 2 months, never seen another one and than I have spotted two in the last 2 days.

I got just above 20 mpg on my first tank of mostly stop and go commuting. which is a huge improvement over the 14 mpg I was getting on my RX8 so I am very happy.
