thanks for the links, i do have a question.. would a normal 2003 protege 5spd tranny work? or is the one in the msp just hardened alot more for the extra power?

I wish it was a broken diff. Two of the fingers off my pressure plate broke off and punctured my transmission, talk about luck..

I'm looking for a transmission for a 2003.5 MSP to purchase. The dealer wants $1800 for a used transmission! So, needless to say I'm looking for a slightly cheaper alternative. Any help in pointing me in right direction would be helpful. Thanks in advance.
