Okay here is the latest update with my problems. First off I did not change the EGR valve myself. With the exception of the spark plug wires, all work was performed by Canadian Tire. I did check the wires to see if they were well secured, and I was able to push them further onto the plugs...

The plug wires were replaced with Mazda wires. I will check to see if they are sealed well. Thanks for the advice.
