So I finally got around to buying a soldering iron and did what you suggested and it worked. Thanks very much. Took me longer to pull the radio out and in than it did to run the soldering iron over the welds.

Agreed. Unfortunately there was no racing this winter so I've been using the 2 and it's awesome. Going to get rid of the 21 3 since it's worth money and I don't need 4 cars. It's a stick and having fun working on it. I’m grinning from ear to ear.

I have only 1 key fob that I got with the car. I'm looking for another replacement fob and from the digging I've done it's not easy to get the correct fob. I've seen comments about FCID but could not find that info on what my current key even after opening it up. Car is a 2011 in Canada...
