I've seen a line of those paints in the hardware store. They come in many different colors, but not in chrome or metallic silver.

I tried that, but the paint would slightly smudge whenever I handled the pieces. I need something that is clear coated or won't smudge. Do you think the dipping process would work? I don't have to spray it on.

I love the look of the car. I strongly dislike the less than advertised gas mileage and I wish it had more cargo space. Overall I like the car, but wish I'd waited a little longer and bought a Pontiac Vibe. That would have been a better match for my needs.

I couldn't find the Stoner's, but I found the Clay Bar and it got most of the film off, but none of the stains. Perhaps the egss ate through the clear coat and all I can do now is repaint it at best. At least the surface is smooth now. If I get gutsy enough I might even break out the touch...

I hear you. Two of the eggs were on my window and although I have gotten the egg film off, the stains remain. I can't believe I have permanent stains on my window!

RyanJayG: Ironically, I had planned to wax my car over the weekend so no it hadn't been recently waxed. Also, ironically I had my car in storage the past two months and was worried that something would happen to it. Nothing did...until I got it back out on the streets. Thanks Long Beach...
