I haven't had it go as high as 35:1 except once. Most of the time, it spikes to 20:1 or 25:1 and then back down to 15 within a second. Only when starting from stop, and only when sitting idle for 10+ seconds. Yeah the spikes you saw in the vids are "normal" for right now. It never did this...
