WTB: Protege 5 OEM Wheels - any condition except bent

I'm looking for a set of oem protege 5 wheels. They can be in any asthetic condition as long as the beads are not damaged and the wheels are not bent. Do not need to have tires on them. Cheap is key. Prefer local pickup near Harrisburg, PA but would consider paying for shipping if the...

Wheel choices for HS Protege 5?

OK. I wasn't sure if 225's would fit. How is the gearing with that tire size?

Wheel choices for HS Protege 5?

I'm having a hard time determing what wheel options are out there that will fit the Protege 5 and meet H stock rules. I was planning on running a 205/50-16 r-comp. Any recommendations?

    NASA National Championships

I can just picture what words are coming out of their mouths at that exact moment. The BMW driver came over to our paddock space with a few choice words after that race. After a trip to the tower, he was found at fault and DQ'd. Thanks for the pic.

Heh, the in-car video of that incident is fun to watch. It could have turned out much worse.

    NASA National Championships

I was there for HPDE2 driving a black civic hatch. This was my first NASA event but have been going to FATTs at Summit for about 6 years now. My friend in the AI '66 mustang (#70) finally talked me into driving a NASA event. It was fun, although the skill level in HPDE 2 seemed very broad...

    Gas Mileage trouble

Both of our civics, a 2000 ex auto and my 92 track-only car, get much better mpg than the protege 5. And that's after I figured out the auto A/C thing. 2700 lbs is heaaavy....that and the shifty driver's seat are my only complaints after 4 months of owning the protege.

    Gas Mileage trouble

Are you constantly running the fan with the vent position at anything other than full face? If so, you are constantly using the A/C and killing your city gas mileage. At certain settings like feet only, it is not blatently obvious that the A/C is still on by looking at the dash controls and...

Loose Driver's Seat Bottom - Under Warranty?

It is definitely less noticable with the seat at a lower position....but I do not like feeling the seating position shift upon turn-in. I may make a trip to the dealer and see what they have to say.

Loose Driver's Seat Bottom - Under Warranty?

Its a slight side-to-side motion, mostly in the rear of the seat bottom, similar to the seat frame not being firmly bolted to the floor. It's due to the design of the height adjustment mechanism from what I can tell. I would hope 155 lbs is not over the design capacity.... Also, try to keep...

Loose Driver's Seat Bottom - Under Warranty?

I purchased my 2003 Protege 5 back in October with 43,500 miles. In the time I've owned it I noticed the driver's seat bottom shifts when cornering fairly hard. Upon inspection, it seems to be a looseness/slop in the design of the seat bottom adjustment mechanism. The bolts holding the seat...
