the power is great. ill just say when i went to grab 3rd gear i spun the tires, but when i stop at an idle it fluters between 1000 and 2500 rpm's

it smokes about 6000 rpm and at start up, it flutters at idle or when i come to a stop

i have just bought a 87 mazda Rx-7 for $600, the problem is that i have no idea how to work on it, it fluters real bad, i dont know how or what to do, can you help me? (bang)
