? 2005 Mazda3- Crappy Audio: Should replace deck and/or speakers

The 92db 94db etc really doesn't have a real world effect on how good they sound or not.. standards are so different.... I know the Infinity's are a efficient speaker and so are most Alpines, so it was the main reason I went for them up front. I think I would have done the Infinity's in the back...

Nice, you went with the Infinity's up front...I'm back to the stock hu now, just looks better imo.

    Turtle wax ICE..Love it!

I put it on my Z28 over a month ago and only had to use a california duster to get pollen off the car. Some people say durability sucks, but has lasted great on my Z28 and Mazda 3 even in rain. My mother who never washes her car has a Pontiac Sunfire and I did her car, now she wants to buy some...

    Turtle wax ICE..Love it!

That is exactly what I was saying... I never seen anyone say they could do Zanio correctly in 20 minutes. Not sure how it could even be possible since multiple steps are required to get the results. I go to car shows and started showing my Z28 lately, the guys in the club have show only...

    Turtle wax ICE..Love it!

After you have waxed your car, then wash it once, you can apply the ICE over the wax on there. So if you already have wax on the car, it would probably turn out better. It isn't a wax and I wouldn't even call it a polish even though thats what they claim it is. It wipes on and off and leaves a...

    Turtle wax ICE..Love it!

I still don't think it is even comparable to Zanio. On the LS1 forums I have been posting on for 4+ years Zanio is popular, but I have went to the Zanio site and the products don't look simular. I am not saying Zanio wouldn't look better, I can't compare since I never used it. The ICE stuff is...

    Turtle wax ICE..Love it!

Isn't anything like Zanio, Zanio goes on in multiple steps and is more of a traditional product. The ICE is a synthetic product that polishes and seals all in one step. I wouldn't say it is so much a polish, more of a paint sealer. A traditional polish needs buffed off and then sealed with a...

? 2005 Mazda3- Crappy Audio: Should replace deck and/or speakers

Behind the stock grill and lower on the door, plus inside a car, makes a big difference(the grill masks some highs since tweeters are directional, woofers are not), plus the tweeters point to the shifter area, so some of the sound is lost in the car. Another thing is you can turn down the highs...

? 2005 Mazda3- Crappy Audio: Should replace deck and/or speakers

To be honest, anything is better than the stock ones. They don't even have a seperate tweeter. Alpines would be the way to go, they make efficient speakers and will give you the most ouput. Should make you happy and they have nice highs. Don't go for power handling, the stock system doesn't put...

Installed Black Chrome Emblems (56k yea right)

Looks good, can't go by what you see in pictures to tell if it is straight. I took some pictures of my Z28 last week and the side emblems looked way off, went back outside to look at them and they were straight, the camera adds distortion and my emblems looked about 1/4 inch too high on 1 side.

    Turtle wax ICE..Love it!

Here is picture of the Mazda 3.. All I did was went through a auto car wash, went home and put the ICE stuff on in about 20 minutes. You can tell a difference just from my signature picture...best part is now it looks like the car has no scratches. Haven't found anything good yet for the...

    Turtle wax ICE..Love it!

Not sure if this is the place to give opinions on a product, but tried some new stuff called Turtle wax ICE today. It is a clear liquid polymere stuff that cleans and polished the paint, leaves a smooth finish and you put it on your mirrors, black plastic, everything on the car. I first did my...

? 2005 Mazda3- Crappy Audio: Should replace deck and/or speakers

Aughhhh, accident... hope all is ok... I did put the factory hu back in and sounded great. I listened to both sets and sat in the back seat. The Infinity speakers are louder, crisp highs and good bass. I would say those would be the way to go..The Polks worked fine too, but didn't get as loud...

? 2005 Mazda3- Crappy Audio: Should replace deck and/or speakers

I'm going to try it in the morning, so will let you know as soon as I do. My wife really likes the look of the factory HU, so if it sounds good, then it will go back in and I'll wire up a line level to rca converter to make the amp for the subs work. I did notice after the sub was put in I can...

    Focal K-5 17's..anyone have them..opinions

I wanted something to replace the 15 inch stock wheels on my 3, car is mainly for wife and she liked the Focal K-5's...I think the 17's would look much better on her car, than the 15's on there now. Anyone have these wheels...pics? I needed some low cost(under $800 for package) wheels to add a...

? 2005 Mazda3- Crappy Audio: Should replace deck and/or speakers

Isn't a problem, I can take the aftermarket HU out in under 5 minutes, is very simple and just need to plug the stock HU in. I added the aftermarket HU and the front Infinity speakers at the same time, so never did listen to it with the stock HU. The 6x8's I added sound very good and I see no...

? 2005 Mazda3- Crappy Audio: Should replace deck and/or speakers

The Polk DB570's would work great, I can take my aftermarket HU out and try out the stock HU if you want and let you know how they sound. I'm sure they will still sound much better than the stock crappy speakers. it only takes about 5 minutes to change them out, and was wondering anyway since my...

? 2005 Mazda3- Crappy Audio: Should replace deck and/or speakers

They are listed in my signature 6802CF...The Polks I have in the back seat are Polk DB570. The Polks don't have as crisp highs, but do sound very good and do not require a seperate amp. The Infinity's are 92 db sensistivity and the Polks are 93db sensitivity. Comparing the stock speakers to...
