2019 VS 2021 Interior Color Changes

Well, I guess you're not the only crazy nitpicking one, because I totally get your point. In fact, I chose a 2019 over a 2020 GT exactly because I could not handle the new color scheme which to me looks less classy, so I understand you. To each their own, I guess :)

    2021 CX-9 Changes

jef, could you please take a picture of the monitor with the surround camera on at standstill so we may see how the resolution compares to the previous year's cameras? The resolution of the cameras as well as the lack of paddle shifters were my only (small) let down on the 2019GT we own. Thanks

    New 2020 CX-9, burning smell

As he said. Mine (2019) went about a month, wife barely noticed it but I tend to be slightly more sensitive and attentive when it comes to smells. Was worse with the heater/HVAC on as it was late fall (November ending) so the HVAC brought it into the cabin. It was however never very intense...

Any Word on the 2020 CX-9 Changes?

As Ohmboy mentioned, if you need a bench, you should try really to get one. No kids for now but if/when they come along you might find the bench more handy to have a parent/adult sitting immediately next to the strapped in toddler if needed. If no kids planned, hey, adults can do captains chairs...

2020 plastic smell in the cabin

I had a similar burning rubber smell noticed shortly after I purchased my 2019 which got me very concerned. This was around Thanksgiving and it came on with use of the heater/fan and only when the engine had already warmed up. I do not know if it came from the HVAC itself or if it was circulated...

2020 Infotainment Screen Retrofit to 2016-2019?

if at least the resolution were much better, one might consider it but I have the impression, at least from my drive of 2020s prior to purchase, that it simply is a larger screen with the same poor resolutaion. 2.4 grand for a magnification factor of about 1.125.....Nah! Ill keep my bucks as well

    CX-9 2019 Touring Service Manual?

Are you referring to the owner's manual or something else? If the former, that together with other information on warranty and maintenance schedule are available at Mazda's official website. https://www.mazdausa.com/owners/how-to-use-my-mazda?year=2019&mc=19CX9

Poll Did you choose the CX-9 over a European SUV?

Well said. Personally coming from a 2017 MDX, I think that's an honest balanced review.

Poll Did you choose the CX-9 over a European SUV?

I suppose I could answer here as I chose my current CX9 over a european...and a couple of Japanese 3 row SUV. Please forgive me if this is long winded, but it gives context to the decision making. BACKGROUND:Came from an 2017 Acura MXD which we had gotten already up to about 60K miles on. WE...

list of gripes about 2019 GT

i second Vdev here. There are quite a few things that do no require hardware changes or will have minimal increments in cost. Mirror tipping, maintaining saved position per driver may be considered a nuissance by some but you would hardly find a premium/luxury car without that Illuminated light...

Sad day, but it protected me well!

Sorry to see this. Glad to hear you're OK though. A car, as much as we may value is is material, human life and health though are irreplaceable. Hope there is some judicious resolution. At about 20K and possibly more in repair cost, I hope it's totalled and you have a chance at a new one

list of gripes about 2019 GT

My 2...or 3 cents: 1) Lack of side mirror position memory; surprised this was not the case. This is my first vehicle in over a dozen years without that feature. I initially thought I couldn't find it in the manual but as we know, it is simply not available. You would think it would be an easy...

Any Word on the 2020 CX-9 Changes?

I believe the Koda design is responsible for the CX9's pretty looks but it also carries a penalty in length. The car is longer than several 3-row SUVs. I was surprised it was 2 inches longer than the Acura MDX, it is longer than the 2020 Ford explorer which already looks like a bigger truck...

New to Mazda and to forum; 2019 CX9 GT

Hello, I purchased my first Mazda at thanksgiving after lurking a couple of weeks on this forum. Came from a 2017 Acura MDX tech. Each vehicle has its pros and cons, but so far, we are very much enjoying the CX9. Many thanks to those who contribute on this website and in some way or the other...
