Ordered a short ram intake from OSS Motorsport in Winnipeg MB. They are now a dealership for Corksport in Canada! They have most of the products available on their site. I also spoke to them on the phone and if they don't have it listed on the site they will still bring in anything Corksport...

I'm in Southern Alberta so it is quite dusty here when the wind blows, driest area in Canada, more windy days than calm :p

Do you run a sock over the filter or just the filter? No issues when you take it in for service or you do it yourself?

Yes I read his posts about the cai, I like the idea of getting some blow off value sound but not sure about sucking in warm/hot air under the hood... could be I am looking for something that isn't possible too. I know he was selling his cork sport because he didn't want to take the chance on...

Anyone know if there is a performance air filter like AEM or K&N drop in for the stock airbox?

Do you think the warranty wouldn't be covered with this on? I might wait a while, I have something similar on my Jeep but it's not turbo and uses the stock airbox.

Mine is on the passenger side of the rearview mirror. hardly notice it at all. It is beside the eyesight box or whatever its called :)

Did you do that yourself or was that the way the installer set it up? My installer said the door open was the way it was set up. Maybe that's just the default?

I should have clarified also, mine is a Idatastart HC3. When started remotely doesn't seem to matter how you unlock the door, the engine stops immediately once the door is open. You also need the original fob to drive away.

Huh, I'll try that when I leave work. I have been unlocking with the handle button then when the door opens, it shuts down.

I have the 2.5T GT and I would encourage you to at least take one for a test drive. They are fun and not nearly as thirsty. I drove the Durango hemi years ago, best I could get out of it was 14l/100km ( I had a heavy foot, was also a rental.

I have the same system that Wilks installed but mine was done by a retailer. They said the Mazda would turn off when the door is opened and it does, I was just curious if the self install went the same way.

Were you able to connect it so the car keeps running when you open the door or does the car turn off?

They seem to be perfectly fine, no issues in rain, dry pavement the car is still quiet. I can't say I have any complaints. In 19 inch I think they weigh in at around 25 pounds so not overly heavy. I haven't noticed any ill effects on mpg either. I know in the snow they are considerably better...
