    I have 20,000 miles on my 2019 soul red CX 5, just a few small chips on the hood that are hardly noticeable. But the paint on my 10 year old Ford seems much more durable.

    I do not have trouble seeing around the A-pillar. Mazda claims that without changing your driving position, you can see at least part of a 5 year old child from looking around the A-pillar, or over and under the mirrors. I have attached two links that explain this...

    In 2017 Mazda pushed back the A pillars by 1.3 inches. This improved forward visibility slightly.

    Automatic Emergency Breaking Front/Rear

    How could this be helpful? If I am driving, there has to be human interaction. If I do not see a stopped car, I probably have my foot on the accelerator.

    I agree that the Preferred Equipment Package is not needed. Because the side view mirrors are large for the segment and there is good view out of the rear window, the visibility seems OK for me.

    The front and rears sensors are standard on the Signature. The rear sensor can be added as an option for other trims (I have a reserve that has rear sensor)
