Yes. You can change region by simply updating to your local region’s firmware. Please note this applies to the pre-2021 (6th generation) model years only.

The only issue is that this is likely a PCM issue and not anything a CMU update would address. Additionally, they are already on the latest FW. I did mention that in my DM response, it wanted to share here in case anyone else experiences the same.

It’s because you’re using an incompatible version of gracenotes. The one you’re trying to use is for the newer gen Mazdas. Your gracenote version was updated to the latest version when you updated the firmware to 74.00.324 (which includes an update to gracenotes version 00.12.003)...

All in one. A program that allowed AA before the hardware existed in addition to other system mods (Mazda AIO Tweaks).

Another PSA. Please uninstall AIO if you installed it before trying to update. Spent 28 direct messages back and forth troubleshooting with a member because they failed to tell me they installed AIO and they broke their failsafe and couldn’t install. Once they uninstalled AIO, it worked...

For the sake of troubleshooting: Are you using OEM USB hardware or 3rd Party for CP/AA? Which version of iOS/Android are you on? The latest firmware has been out for a few years now and I am not seeing widespread issues with it.
