Goldwing, I think you are right, the black dash soaks up the sun and takes a long time to cool down. It is a good idea to purchase the car with the a/c. Thanks for the replies guys . FF

I should add that the fan air is not really hot or anything (which would obviously suggest a problem with the car) but definiely warmer than ambient. car was cruising along at 80 kph not revved up or anything thanks
