I have the car booked in this Saturday for 4 Michelin Defender 2's. I have them on my CX-5 and they are fantastic. I hope they perform just as good on the CX-30.

That smell is all the chemicals they put on the leather that are "off gassing". New car smell....off gassing.

Michelin Defender II's on my 2017 CX-5 and I can get it to cut loose. Similar to the above, you gotta hammer it a bit in order get the rear end to come out.

FWIW, I used to twist wrenches years ago (thought I wanted to be a mechanic) at a Mazda dealer circa 1999-2001. All the mechanics back then told me that the smaller, higher reving 4 cylinders all run hot/hotter and higher octane gas helps.

He said what he said. He said what he said. When he was saying it, he was sounding like a mental person explaining a conspiracy theory. I need a new mechanic.

I had a mechanic tell me that higher octane fuels can burn holes in your pistons, plus a whole other myriad of problems. They do great work for me, but this line of thinking is absurd. I've been running 91-93 through my vehicles for years with no problems.
