    EGR valve failed AGAIN!!!

Fritzin fratzin, son of a #@#@#! I already replaced this a couple of years ago! P0401 insufficient coolant temperature P0126 exhaust gas recirc flow (gah) Somebody please point me to the best thread on putting in a block off plate and how to not get codes thrown with one installed (is that...

How difficult is it to replace EGR valve?

You can order the part for less. I don't remember now where I got mine but it was about half that. Biggest pain in the procedure as far as I was concerned is the fact that the radiator has no drain valve. You have to put a bucket underneath where the lower hose connects and take out enough to...

    CorkSport FMIC with SRI

Everyone keeps asking about the airbox. What was wrong with that kit? It looks like a brilliant idea to me. On the "other" forum someone mentioned that it looked like a good way to injest a lot of water, but I have to think that the engineers took rain into account. I just realized that some...

Fuel Cut or Possibly a Bad Fuel Pump.

When I stopped and there wasn't cool air blowing on it anymore the underhood heat was able to dry it? Sounds reasonable, but I don't understand why it would suddenly do this under conditions that are no worse than I've seen before and even less generally wet. The only thing that I can think of...

Fuel Cut or Possibly a Bad Fuel Pump.

It was drizzling this morning, but nothing bad. I've driven in a lot worse with no problem. Be weird to suddenly need to put a rainsock on the thing.

Fuel Cut or Possibly a Bad Fuel Pump.

Does this sound like one of the pumps? They are the first thing I thought of, but the problem went away for the time being, which I wouldn't expect from them. Left for work this morning and after a couple of blocks going fairly easy, the car still warming up in a neighborhood with kids, it...

HOW TO: independent fogs on a GT

So what wire did you tap in to in the steering harness? I'm assuming that it is the control wire from the switch. Is that correct?

Any body using catted downpipe from Ultimate-Racing?

Looking for some feedback on their downpipe and high-flow cat for under the car (instead of racepipe). A little concerned that I don't see any kind of a flex section. Anyone have one of these installed?

Best Place to install amp in trunk?

Maybe I got lucky, but my amp situated so I could hit the metal of the seat back through every mounting hole. I cut a small slit in the seatback and threaded the cabling through so it doesn't show and passed it under the seat bottom and along the transmission tunnel under the carpet.

    PG Reworked VS BNR.

The decision maker for me would be a clear cut difference in reliability.

    Cheapest struts worth buying?

This is an excellent point. I suppose I knew this but didn't think of it, if you know what I mean. Thank you.

    Cheapest struts worth buying?

I saw the Monroes also, and they are the lowest price of all brands I recognized. I couldn't find much for them by way of reviews for some reason. I think I'm getting those and calling it done until spring. With winter coming up I won't be pushing the car very hard anyway.

    Cheapest struts worth buying?

As I mentioned, at 55,000 miles I am going to replace the pair. Even if they were the same brand, if one was new and the other had 55,000 miles of wear on it, the difference would be night and day between the two sides. I have no choice but to replace them now. I hit something in the road and...

    Cheapest struts worth buying?

Money is tight at the moment and I have no choice but to replace at least one strut. At 55,000 miles it makes sense to do both. What is the best of the bargain struts? I just need something to get me through to next spring. I do like to push the car a bit, so something sporty that will last 6...

    Good fiberglass resin brand

You members that work with fiberglass will know what I'm talking about. It's been so long since I've done any work with it that I forget what the good brands are. The cheap stuff you get at most autoparts stores flows like molasses. Good stuff should have the consistency of mineral oil so you...

    Sumitomo tires, generally speaking, opinions?

What kind of mileage are we talking about here? More, less, or about the same as Falken Azenis?

    Sumitomo tires, generally speaking, opinions?

Same as the Falkens that are currently on the car. I can't remember if they are 225 or 235, but 40/18 for sure. I have 18x8 rims with a roughly 50 offset, so no clearance problems.
