Wiper Blades not made for a 2018 CX5?

You can probably just replace the rubber inserts, not the entire wipers:

Replace the inserts, not the entire wipers

As I did some research on replacement wipers for my 2017 CX-5 I ran into a video that shows how to replace only the rubber inserts (refills). Most of the time the entire wiper did not go bad, but rather it is the rubber insert that is no good: HERE is that video.

Trico makes "ExactFit" wiper blades for the 2017 CX-5, reasonably priced and they're available on Amazon. Click HERE for the Trico part numbers. NAPA has them too, are NAPA branded, but made by Trico.

    CX-30 Towing Capacity and Hitch

If you have the time and inclination, maybe you can post several pictures of the undercarriage, where a hitch would go.

    CX-30 Towing Capacity and Hitch

It may be possible. I haven’t looked. But the cost of shipping such a heavy item from overseas would probably be prohibitively expensive.

For those eagerly awaiting Gen 3

The CX-9 was redesigned in 2016, so on a 5-year cycle it seems reasonable to think it will be redesigned for model year 2021.

    Power seat front-back double failure

I got my CX-5 back from the dealership’s service department today. They replaced BOTH “power seat units” (passenger and driver) with their corresponding motors. The part numbers are KD1A-88-AA0A and KD1A-88-AF0A. I signed the “bill to Mazda,” which was over $1,500, and my bill was NO CHARGE...

For those eagerly awaiting Gen 3

Yes, I saw that article, and it said “All-New Models.” The CX-5 is not a new model. A re-design of the CX-5 is due in 2022, but Mazda may not have it until 2023… no one knows. The CX-30 (based on the Mazda3 platform) IS a new model with its release for model year 2020. That article talks about...

Retrofit auto up/down to ALL windows

When I get my CX-5 back from the dealer's service dept. I will check on what happens if the window glass encounters resistance. I'm thinking that resistance could be a body part (ouch) or the window frame itself, when UP or DOWN is at max. Needless to say I won't be using my arm for the test.

Retrofit auto up/down to ALL windows

That's what I thought too. It would make sense that ALL power windows, by design, stop moving with enough resistance to the motor. Whether or not a window switch has the two-click automatic up/down function should be a separate deal.

For those eagerly awaiting Gen 3

What public statement from Mazda are you referencing? 2023 might be for new products (new engines, drivetrains, or vehicle models, etc), but not for redesigning of existing vehicle models. However, I'd like to read the published information to which you're referring. Vehicle redesigns and...

    Power seat front-back double failure

Both seat motors (1 for each front seat) failed within 11 days of each other. That leads me to believe it was a defective batch of motors. I'll keep you posted.
