What have you done to your CX-5 today?

The 19" wheels I got were from a 2014 GT model, before they swapped to the "vampire teeth" with the refreshed model. I still have my original 17" wheels, so I'll swap my winter tires to those and sell my old steel set. I got the 19" set from a retired couple that upgraded to a CX-9, so I...

What have you done to your CX-5 today?

I'm assuming he's talking about part FT01291? I had an MVI to pass in this case and couldn't wait for the part to arrive with upcoming vacation planned. My fault for not planning further ahead but time gets away from you with kids. Rock Auto has been great in the past, but it usually takes a...

What have you done to your CX-5 today?

I got a full set of OEM 19" rims for $300 CAD, which I thought was a great deal. I spent a few hours cleaning them all up - did a deep clean before taking a clay bay to them to get rid of the remaining yellow staining. Overall I think they look pretty good and after getting some new tires a...

What have you done to your CX-5 today?

I finally got around to updating the software and installing the Android Auto/Apple CarPlay kit. I also gave it good wash yesterday, and then applied a second coat of paint sealant (Power Lock Plus).

2017~2024 CX-5 Interior Cleaning and Protectant Products

Pretty much all modern leather comes with a top coat, so I honestly wouldn't bother adding a conditioner on top until the car is a few years old and that top coat has begun to wear away. If the seats aren't terribly dirty, then a regular wipe down with a damp towel should be enough to keep them...

Paint chips & bubbles on roof

Thanks for the feedback everyone! We've owned the car for about 40 months now so we're just outside the 3 years. That's good advice about checking with the dealer so I'll give that a try and see what they say about this. If they decline it, then I'll probably check with a body shop to get a...

Paint chips & bubbles on roof

So while washing my car the other day, I noticed while wiping it down that there were a couple chips/bubbles beginning to form in the paint along the roof. A little annoyed that I didn't notice this earlier but at this point I'm looking for a fix and I'm wondering if anyone has any...

    Wiper replacement on 2016 CX5

I'll also recommend the rubber inserts, they're super cheap and don't take long to swap out. I also like keep an extra set in the car, which came in handy when the driver side starting coming apart during a road trip.

    5 things I hate...

I used to have issue 1 you described, but since running the newest system software, it always resumes from where it left off. With regards to the second, it should automatically sort the folders alphabetically with the newer system software. I know the older versions used to sort the folders by...

    2016 NAV Question

The state is selected under the country portion. It's not a problem to input an out of state address, as I do it all the time when I drive down to NJ to visit my parents. If you click on the country, you can change the state there. When you see it from the menu you'll only see US listed, but...

2013 CX-5 Sport Model - Dash Speaker Question

I upgraded to the Polk Audio DB351 in our car and I ended up cutting the standard cables. I had bought a cheap adapter, which I knew didn't fit, and just cut off the actual adapter portion and used the rest. I then spliced that wire, along with the included bass blockers, into the cars wiring...

    Heated Mirrors?

We have a 2016.5 and I use the heated side mirrors all the time in the winter, and they've always worked great for us. Get plenty of snow/rain up here and I've never had any issues - within a few minutes of turning them on, the mirrors clear/dry right up.

    Navi - Junky?

Whether or not they're standard features is irrelevant with regards to how people value those features. The survey you linked only included people who owned a smartphone, so that's obviously skewing the results a certain direction. I'm sure a lot of people want AA/CarPlay, but no one believes...
