Did Mazda make a mid year engine change?

Could they be artificially limiting the output to match 2025 models, to test the new engine out in the wild and will be releasing the 2026 upgraded line with the same engine but full power? They really need to catch up with RAV4's 302hp.

    What's next for the CX-5?

Does anyone see any differences vs current except for the grille and lights?

New CX-5 pulls to the right even though alignment is good

I had (and still have) exactly the same issue with my 2021 - it's tends to swerve all the time. My previous cars (including 2016 CX5) would just drive straight, while with this one I have to constantly apply effort to make it go straight. However there's no particular direction it tends to...

Rear pads changed 2nd time at 23k?!

It is a Turbo, and it went for the valve stem seals recall service back in October, after which I received a text notification on my phone that I'm due for a three month service :unsure: I knew something weird was going to happen after that text, I'm getting some kind of a special...

Rear pads changed 2nd time at 23k?!

The first time was at 15k: 2019 CX-5 Brake questions Now, I bring the car in and ask them for a printout of all the brake pads wear. I take my car back after hours - no service people were available to give me the printout, but they mention some work was done on rear brakes. At home I see this...

Thinking of getting a CX-5 Turbo, things to look out for?

The recommended oil change interval is 7.5k mi, a lot of people here do 5k. I don' t think it's possible to do 13k with no oil change, and not getting low oil light triggered, but again a lot of people are clueless. Should not cause damage, but there should be a ton of options with no 13k gap...

2021 CX-5 CE Turbo - Premium gas required?

Am I reading it wrong, or this illustration suggests that a car reaches EPA mpg at speeds 75-80mph?

    HUD Directions on a pre 2024 CX-5?

phones can position without GPS, using cell towers proximity, wifi spots and other means. So hiding your phone doesn't always mean it lost its location.

Am I the only one happy with the OEM Toyo A36 Tires?

another Pirelli Scorpion AS Plus 3 user here. I had no problem with A36 to be honest. Hydroplaned once on wet snow, but don't believe it was tires to blame. Switched anyway, Pirelli seemed to be more loud and flaky at first but I either got used or it was kind of a brake-in, now they seem silent.

    HUD Directions on a pre 2024 CX-5?

I user carplay. I know there is a built-in navigation that puts directions on the HUD. But it's a disgrace from the usability perspective compared to Google or Apple maps. The one I had in '16 CX5 was actually better than the current one

    HUD Directions on a pre 2024 CX-5?

Lack of turn by turn on HUD is the biggest and probably the only issue that makes me sad. Is there really no way to enable that? I think I'd even invest in a head unit replacement if that was an option.

Mazda CX-5 (and other models) Oil Consumption TSB (WTF)

Another thing - I've been using premium gas only the whole 5k since the last oil change, and pushed the pedal harder. Decided to take it to the max and see if that triggers the alert, and there you go

Mazda CX-5 (and other models) Oil Consumption TSB (WTF)

I didn't check the oil level, just dropped it off at the dealer. And that's correct, there was nothing on the dash. Oil level is not constant and changes with temperature, car position etc. My guess is that at one point it was low enough for the sensor to trigger sending the alert and possibly...

finally it happened, low oil warning in MyMazda app last oil change at 15k, now it's at 20k interestingly didn't notice anything on the dash, if there was no phone app I wouldn't know it happened will go to the dealer on Tue
