Poll What's the main reason you became a Mazdas247 Member?

Hey, vinyl made a comeback, so I have hope for forums. I truly despise FB groups.

That's a lot of projects, damn. Where do you put all that stuff??

Will leaving the trunk open drain the battery?

In my experience, it does seem to drain the battery pretty quickly. I was cleaning my 2022 CX30, which I've only had for about a month, and left the hatch open for at least an hour. When I got in to start it and put it back in the garage, I got a screen warning that I need to 'run the car for a...

What did you pay for your CX-30?

We just got our CX-30 two weeks ago. Waited 3 weeks but paid MSRP. However, I think that it really depends on where you live. Even though availability is practically zero, there are enough dealers around here that they haven't risked charging more than other dealers.

You can still get the JDM bumper??

Poll What's the main reason you became a Mazdas247 Member?

I was originally a member of two other, smaller Mazda forums way back in 2004, not long after I bought my Protege. I would occasionally check in on this forum, but it was intimidating and I honestly, at the time, was wary about joining. This was by far the biggest Mazda forum and as I am sure...

    2000 Protege LX sleeper?

Funny, I was just gonna say the same thing to you! Dude, people would get so pissed at you when you spoke the truth.

    2000 Protege LX sleeper?

iirc the only difference is the MSP has a limited-slip differential, but it has been a long time and there may be other differences.

    2000 Protege LX sleeper?

Nope. Performance Chips are a useless waste of $$ and may even interfere with the ECU. OEM-style Spark plugs are fine when you change at regular intervals.

    Back in a Mazda

Brought home the new baby Monday! In a typical Florida summer thunderstorm no less.

    2000 Protege LX sleeper?

Don't get me wrong, I love the Protege, but don't waste your money---even 15 years ago when parts were easier to get, 300 hp on a NA Protege was a LOT of work, even if adding a turbo. Proteges are fun to drive even without a ton of power. Keep it as a beater and look for some used mods if you...

The flaming used to bother me, but in comparison it was nothing like the crap on FB now.

Looks pretty good! Nice to see that some of the MSPs are aging well. One of these days I am gonna find a running, not beat-to-death MSP of my own.

    Back in a Mazda

I'm happy to be back, even though the community is a lot smaller than it used to be. I lived on this forum and was a vendor for many years.

    Back in a Mazda

Well, not quite yet. After 9 years of being Mazda-less (not by choice), I put a hold on an incoming White Pearl Premium. It was, literally, the only CX30 not already sold within 100 miles of where I live, except for a Premium Turbo and a Carbon. I would have loved a Turbo - but not the Premium...

Mazdspeed Protege #1145 build / fix log

I really need to get back here more often. I donated my dearly departed Protege a few years ago. Even though I had moved to Florida, it had seen too many winters up north and things started to fall off. I miss my old car and what this forum used to be back when I was a vendor. Good luck with...
