Well the good news is a 2010 Walker OEM replacement/aftermarket system for the cat, midpipe/resonator, and muffler fits...... Sort of. I have a hitch and the brackets for it eat into the area where the muffler lives. I had to add a hanger to better control it at the muffler outlet to prevent it...

I really have no idea. The resonator/mid pipe that's supposedly different runs from about the edge of the front seat to the back of the middle seat. There's nothing there that is related to the transmission. I ordered the parts today. should have them mid week and will report back

Thanks Icspots, So it was a used OEM part your mechanic found? I'm about to bite the bullet and order the aftermarket 2010 parts, cross my fingers and see what the mechanic says when he tries to install it.

If you're going to end up with some on the shelf anyway I'd buy the concentrate. You can mix the correct ratio and still have the same size container.

I wouldn't trust the dash meter*.......Do the math based on distance and fill up volume. Weight mostly factors in during acceleration, and up hills. At a constant speed on flat ground other factors matter more. Cd, tire rolling resistance, powertrain efficiency, etc. Peak HP doesn't matter...

The MAZDA5 emblem doesn't. I had my tailgate painted and the replacement emblem was just 2 sided tape. The non-skyactiv version has no emblem on the right so there shouldn't be pins on that emblem either, or I'd have holes in my tailgate. The M probably does have pins because it borders a panel...
