Good response.. I've noticed this on my own CX-9. I own a CX-7 and CX-9 and what you say makes a lot of sense. My CX-7 (GT) is a freak'n rocket however, my CX-9 does have to be floored when in D position to get up and go....which I like because the little beast is much better on gas than my Ford...

Here is my CX-9 with 1/2" Trim..... I also put some trim on the front covers where the driving lights would be on a GT

What a great idea... Sounds like my next project. I did something like this with my CX-7 near the driving lights.... just four little strips made a big difference.

Congrats! I'm new here too... I have a 2011 CX-9 AWD Touring and a 2007 CX-7 Grand Touring AWD.... Never thought I own a Mazda but these things are fun!
