after some driving today seems like mine decoder does not get too hot at all.... i wonder if you have done a really long trip maybe the decoder you got was defective? the plastic slave thing protecting the blue and red wires has printing on there says it can withstand 105c i think.

installed it this morning...very simple plug and play...everything works good so far and i found a place to mount the decoder, just with some scotch permanent mounting tape and it stick on the driver side frame pretty good..will keep an eye on the decoder heat issue and see if it will cost any...

didn't yours come with the third plug? also does it matter which side of the headlight decoder thing plug to? do you think it could be that you plugged the decoder on the wrong side to made it really hot and melted the wires?

so mine arrived today, the cord that holds both leds has 3 blue plugs on it, is one of them suppose to be just left out? just want to make sure before i plug it into the car...

i am not sure where can it be mounted to? i see no point of mounting it on plastic surface as it might melt the plastic again...but how can we mounted it on to metal surface lol..

ah that does not look too good...how big is the decoder thing? I guess I will have to find a way to put the decoder somewhere without melting anything....

hopefully it's not something wrong with the design, mine is on the way lol... is there anyway not to mount it and let it hang somewhere?

so i assume that you stick the heat sink with the wires together? so if we do not stick the decoder anywhere near anything would it be ok? did anything else damaged? can you post a picture of how things went? are you going to order another pair of these?

was it hard to install? does it need any rewiring? or anything to do with the electrical box?

so i have been noticed a few times that when gear shifting from 2-3 and 3-4, and during 2000-3000 rpm, either the engine or the exhaust had some rattling/higher pitch engine sound. but if i switch it to sports shift and try to go a little harder on the gas, it does not make the sound, i think...

I do like the handling of the cx5, pretty much the first suv that i feel like driving like a car... a lot different than the x3 lol...

ya i guess it does make sense... just a little too hard for me when comparing to wifes new x3... it does drives more car like than the x3, but to me the x3 feel more comfortable but also not too soft..

any of your non techs switch out the 9005 bulb because you guys think the DRL is too yellow? i am thinking to switch out the stock ones with Philips Diamond Vision 5000k, any one had these before and how white are the color? want something white in color with a little blue tint...

how u guys think about the cx5 ride comparability? been driving it for a few days and noticed it has a pretty hard suspension? a little bumpy on some of the rougher roads...

ah it looks nice...resistors sounds not easy lol... my 14 is still the regular bulb...not sure if it has to do with the non tech package... maybe i will just use some other color regular bulbs then...

just wondering if anyone has changed their front turn signal light to like a white LED or something? is it Legal to change the color of these bulbs? i understand that the turn signal lights comes on at night when we turn on the front light, and it blinks when we do the turn signal, so if anyone...
