How did you remove the shift panel, with a screwdriver? Also once the shift panel is removed how did you know which is the light connector ...sorry I'm not very handy.

I find the cargo light in the CX-5 quite dim at night. Are there any options to improving this? I found this accessory for the mazda, but I'm not sure if this is available in Canada...

Thanks everybody for the feedback. I have never forced the rear wiper away from the back windshield. However, I suspect this would happen if I did. In any case, the dealer has agreed to replace it and I'm definitely going to be more careful next time!
