Installed Android Auto radio unit but it's not playing

Agreed on Crutchfield and I did use their BOSS unit years ago but purchased the entire adapter set at the same time. It was a relatively easy install using their provided harness.

2007~2015 CX-9 A/C draining direct to passenger footwell

If the issue comes back you could try to snake a thin weed trimmer cord up the drain from below. If that shows up inside the 'box' then you should be good. If the cord shows up elsewhere that would be the point where the disconnect happened.

    Rumbling sound - getting worse

Wheel bearing. Likely the right side since the slight turning motion unloads the bearing briefly. Time to get it replaced for sure if you can hear it that clearly.

    CX-9 AC Drain Tube Location?

If it is like the older gen then end of the drain is hidden behind a heat shield. If you run the AC with the vehicle lifted for a while you should be able to spot the drips perhaps?

Who has changed their transmission fluid?

A drain and fill is different than a complete flush. Usually a drain and fill will replace just about 3 quarts or so. This is enough to re-fresh the fluid. A complete flush involves using a machine and pumping out all the fluid and replacing with new. If the flush is done on a regular schedule...

2007~2015 CX-9 Factory Stereo (Bose Amplified) Replacement Problem!

Is a return possible and get one from a place that does provide a harness, or has that ship sailed? At the very least they should be able to give you steps to hard-wire the unit. Very poor customer support in my opinion.

2007~2015 CX-9 Factory Stereo (Bose Amplified) Replacement Problem!

What kind of new stereo are you installing and where did you purchase it? I am asking because I installed a BOSS Carplay capable new unit and I purchased it from Crutchfield. They provided the custom harness I needed and it was plug and play for me. Perhaps you can reach out to them regarding...

Good replacement battery for the 2021 CX-9?

If you are a member at Sams Club they have good deals on batteries and an AGM battery may hold up better than regular flooded lead acid in your case.

2017 CX-9 went into limp mode while merging. No issues after restart

An OBD reader will now show 'module' errors, if any did occur. You need a scanner that speaks to each module and retrieves the manufacturer codes. There are Launch scanners on Amazon that perform this function and if you plan on keeping the car for some time and are somewhat DIY it may be worth...

    Frozen winshield wiper fluid

For the price of some decent washer fluid I'd say you'd be better off buying your own and topping it off vs. whatever the dealer is using.

2010 CX-9 Oil leak from a pinhole - Need help to identify

Are you sure that the oil is not coming from higher up on the engine? The reason I ask is that is the cylinder head you are looking at and the likely hood it developed a pin hole is pretty remote but it is possible. Higher up on the engine you will have the valve cover for that head and they can...

Rear vent only blowing hot air on right side (2019 CX-9 GT)

Get the actual part numbers from a Mazda OEM parts on line site and then expand the search from there.

The thanks go to the member virgilaunt who posted that in another thread. Agreed, it is a very useful resource and I hope it helps.

    Cruise control isn’t working…Any ideas? 2010 CX-9

They do but a local shop may be more more cost effective. It's really a 10 minute job with the proper scan tool.

2010 CX-9 Sport AWD Head Unit Upgrade Issue with 3 Button Steering Wheel

I installed a BOSS unit in my 2012 GT and it looks almost identical to the Bronco Boy install. It does differ in that the mic is under the steering wheel and it works well there. I also ran the USB connector over by the drivers side. I purchased my setup from Crutchfield some time ago but it...

    Cruise control isn’t working…Any ideas? 2010 CX-9

You need a professional scanner, not just an simple OBD scanner that reads the generic codes common to all vehicles. It reads all the 'modules' (computers) in the vehicle and gives codes for each if any are present. There is likely some manufacturer specific code on one of the modules that will...

    Cruise control isn’t working…Any ideas? 2010 CX-9

Find the fuse that controls the cruise control and check it. If it's good then you need a full scan of the vehicle with a decent scan tool, without that your grasping at straws.

2016 CX-9 Fuel Filter Replacement Tips?

I doubt it's the filter also. It's not like it's not getting enough fuel to cause a leak and the leak is likely the cause of the code. I don't know if that system has a return line to the tank but it would make sense in this case if the leak is at the rear of the engine. If you carefully inspect...
