    Dealership - What a Joke

Yep, generally oil lights come on when the pickup in the pan can't draw in oil, meaning you are REALLY low or so low that the angle of a hill or driveway causes the pickup to suck in air.

    trailer???? to much?

In there interest of being complete, it's worth mentioning that if pchrist has the tow package, the manual states a capacity of 3500 lbs. The 2011 manual I'm looking at states that the tongue weight should be 10-15% of the trailer weight with or without the tow package, meaning the max tongue...

    trailer???? to much?

Isn't the CX9 rated to 3500 lbs with the tow package? The trailer should probably have brakes if towed with the CX9 or Traverse.

    Saving fuel on CX9

You didn't mention if you let the car warm up by letting it idle before beginning your commute. How many gallons does it typically take to fill your tank?

    Saving fuel on CX9

Wow, something must be wrong or your usage is very far from normal. Do you do a lot of idling? Do you let the car warm up by idling in the morning or do you start up and start driving? How are you measuring fuel economy?

QX56 - Anyone here owned one?

Wow, great info. I wonder if the rear axle breather can be relocated at a higher location. I'll have to do some searching to see how people address it. Would you recommend any particular forum or other site for good info? I'm not thrilled with the relevant forums I've discovered so far.

QX56 - Anyone here owned one?

I thought the manifold issue was entirely or primarily limited to 2004-05, but admittedly, I didn't look into it much. Is it at least less common in say 06+? What wears prematurely in the front suspension? Dampers, bushings, or what? Thanks for the tips.

QX56 - Anyone here owned one?

Thanks. The fuel consumption is my biggest issue with the QX, but it looks like we're going to give it a shot and hope we don't regret it later. All QX's are body on frame. 2004-2010 shared design with the Titan and Armada. 2011 to present is based on the Patrol.

QX56 - Anyone here owned one?

Hi All, I'd love to hear from anyone with ownership experience with both the CX9 and QX56. I'm familiar with all the published information such as power, towing, dimensions, etc and have test driven both. Both have their strengths, but I'd love to hear from anyone that's owned both on what...

Elm 327 or Elmscan 5 Obd II Scan tool

Same here. If you have an Android phone, you should check out DashCommand and Torque. I imagine at least one of them is available on iOS as well.

Elm 327 or Elmscan 5 Obd II Scan tool

I have a 327 that I got recently and connected to my phone via bluetooth. Sorry, I haven't tried connecting to my Win7 computer. Just out of curiousity, what do you plan on doing once you connect to the PC?

    Snow chains for 20" wheels/tires

That link takes me to a list of 11 models that match the tire size. Which product do you use?

    Snow chains for 20" wheels/tires

If you're willing to search around a bit, I know I've seen some products that are different than cables and chains. I'm guessing they are made in Europe somerwhere primarily for low clearance vehicles.

    Snow chains for 20" wheels/tires

I have no experience with this issue on a CX9, but I checked TireRack for standard tires sizes on the 2013 CX9. They list 245/50/20 and 245/60/18. Both sizes have the same width and diameter, so clearance should be very similar or identical between them. The only difference I would expect is...

    CX-9 Real MPG

Perhaps I've failed to uncover the real truth, but I believe ethanol is used to reduce emissions (the bad ones). I don't know why those idiot liberal democrats care so much about clean air, breathing is totally overrated if you ask me. edit: I am referring to E10, the typical gas sold...

    CX-9 Real MPG

That sample size is very small, but the owner supplied data on fueleconomy.gov is in line with the EPA numbers.

    CX-9 Real MPG

I didn't catch that story, pretty interesting. They're providing debit cards to reimburse people for their additional fuel costs to date and will continue to replenish them for as long as they own the car along with an additional 15% for the inconvenience. On the bright side, this LA Times...

    Grand Touring without fog lights?

When I was looking for a Grand Touring, I saw lower models incorrectly advertised as GT's all the time. Unfortunately, car dealers don't seem to be able to correctly identify what the heck they're selling or they're comfortable advertising a lesser product as better than it really is.
