Seems that Mazda Mexico uses the projector headlamps on their Mazda2, which would be set up for the right side of the road. Could be worth investigating the price from a border town dealer (Tijuana?).

Update: Dealer said today that the 2012 Mazda2 would not arrive until Feb/Mar 2012.

A local dealer told me today that the 2012 Mazda2s should be a late arrival, meaning Nov/Dec-ish. There may be a couple of option and/or color changes, but that's it, per his Mazda rep.

The SkyActiv Demio (Mazda2) uses a CVT transmission. It's already established that there will be no SkyActiv Mazda2 in the U.S. this year. So, no one has heard rumors about when the 2012 Mazda2 will show up here, or what changes it'll have?

Today an extensive gallery and many more specs/details of the CX-5 were released by Mazda, to coincide with its Frankfurt debut. The CX-5 seems like a very handsome and fun-to-drive vehicle the fuel efficient Miata of SUVs. The interior looks brilliantly done. A nice intro to SkyActiv technology!
