I have owned my Mazda2 for 3.5 years (bought it new August 2011) and it has performed flawlessly in Toronto, Canada with snow tires. Highly recommended. (hi)
The folks at Corksport have a lot to offer:

+1 Mostly compliments ... and easy at the gas pumps.
Welcome to a fellow Ontarian! What colour is your ride? Any plans for modifications or upgrades? In what part of the province are you located? Sorry for all the questions!
I got my M2 from Gyro Motors the second week of August. I just called their service department. They said that the windshield washer reservoirs are filled with the blue fluid that is OK to -40*C.
Mine is lowered 30mm with the Mazda "lowering kit". Apparently the springs were made by Eibach. The drop is sufficient to improve handling (a bit) and to reduce the gap above the wheels.
How about window tint. Mud flaps. Clear film for front bumper and front part of hood. Scotch guard seats. Aquapel for front windscreen.
Does it get cold in the winter where you are? If yes, then you will need winter tires and rims.
