Hi i just bought my P5 from a friend who put a connecting rod through his block so im replacing the motor. my question is does the protege and protege 5 have the same engine placement and set up? and the car im getting it from is a 01 mine is a 02 is there any difference?

im buying my buddy's protege off of him and the only problem with the car is the connecting rod from a piston put a hole in the block which means a new motor. if anyone has on in the alberta (specifically calgary) area i would be interested. sorry: protege 5 02.
