I have a 2000 protege 1.6 engine automatic trans. Car shifts first gear fine but when it suppose to go into 2nd gear the car revs really high like it's in neutral and the Overdrive light flashes repeatly. I'll let the car slow down then it goes back into first gear. Any suggestions or comments

I change the fuel pump on my 2000 protege if i shoot a little gas into the breather the car cranks and runs idle like a kitten. The minute i try to give it some gas it starves for gas, stumble and finally cuts off. i'll have to shoot more gas into the breather to make it crank again. i check the...
