I need help with my 03 protege ES. I'm tired of getting beat by vtecs. how can i get easy hp?

I've had my 03 protege es for about 6 months now and ive installed a cold air intake and a racing muffler. I'm looking to get some serious hp out of the car but i have no idea to get there? I dont have the money for a turbo so would nitrous be a possiblity? And do they bigger cams for better...
