    Mount Amp on Sub Enclosure?

    How damaging / dangerous is it to mount an amp to the side of a sub woofer enclosure (assuming there is room for the amp to breathe)? Will it affect performance any more than mounting a few feet away?

    Which Sub Controls - Headunit or Amp? Should I be using the subwoofer EQ / Crossover controls: on my Alpine CDA-9830 HU OR on my Kenwood amp (bridged to a single 10")? Currently, I am using the amp controls, (just gain and 80Hz crossover).

    Plug a Sub?

    1) Is it wise to plug up a port in a 10" sub box (about 0.66 cu ft) or should one just rebuild it? 2) If it is plugable, what materials would provide the best seal?
