what is yalls thought about getting the light weight fidanza flywheel? is it worth it?

i know im going to catch some crap from this. but im not a big fan of the look of carbon fiber. so i would like to know, if it would hurt the carbon fiber any if i painted it?

My engine in my MS3 just blew up today. didnt give any signs or anything. wasnt getting on it just driving down the road. it threw a rod out the side of the block idk what happen i check all my fluids daily. can anyone tell me if they have heard any service bulletins that may have prevented this...
