i nd some info about advance vacuum. my distributor has one and i thnk it needs calibration

i nd some help to tune the carb. it is actually running on a lean mixture. the engine warms up quickly and it backfires in the exhaust pipe. i have tried to search for a pic but there is no one available. could someone please help. thanks
