    whats the minimum mods to ensure strong and lasting engine?

    I'm thinking of doing rods, and getting a SSAFC. I already have a magnaflow catback / POPE downpipe. Would rods be enough if i plan on just staying at 7-8psi? what about 10? edit: on the stock gt25. possibly a gt28rs in the future

    I have an extra head sitting in my garage - came with the msp when i bought it, prev. owner said he pulled it out of a 30-40k mileage protege,, Is it possible for a professional to look over it and verify it's in good shape? Or is it a matter of installing it and seeing?

    i hear the POPE downpipes were nice - but they seem to have shut down. Looking for something decent and 3" if possible - any suggestions?

    turbo on its way out?

    getting some whte/bluish smoke if revving engine a bit - not an insane amount but certainly enough to be concerned - so I am starting to look into what would my best options be in case the turbo ends up shitting itself someday soon. Replace with stock again or are there another direct bolt on...

    fuel injector o-ring

    i know theres a forum for this but i figured i might get quick help here - what needs to be taken off in order to get at the fuel injector o-rings? is it a long job? I'm good with motors, but i havent taken a good look at the MSP motor yet.

    on a 2003.5 MSP - what does it take to get to the fuel injectors and the o-rings? is it easy access? I do not have the MSP yet, picking it up soon probably - and the o-ring needs to be replaced.

    lookin at a MSP

    2003.5 silver MSP with 118k - just want to know if theres anything with the MSP i should know.. i've owned a dumped jetta 1.8t with chip, tbe, slightly larger turbo.. and that car was a problem month after month :p please tell me the MSP is somewhat reliable if i'm not ripping through the gears...
