2019 CX-9 interior lighting is way too harsh...How can I change it?

My gripe is with the overhead accent light that stays on at all times - too bright at night! At least the map/door light you only use rarely when you need it. For the time being I covered the accent light with a small piece of electrical tape.

DIY 2nd Generation CX-9: Dashcam installation

no sorry I didn't check the other two. Once i found the switched hot I was done. But it should be easy if you know the ground...put one pin into the ground and then just try the other two one by one to see which is constant hot.

DIY 2nd Generation CX-9: Dashcam installation

Finally got some time today to install dashcam. Did some work with the multimeter to figure out wiring on the frameless mirror. First had to identify which pin was ground by running a wire to ground nut under the hood and testing for continuity. Then once I had that, tested other pins for 24v...

New 2019 CX-9 GT. Two questions:

It's one of those things that once you have it, you can't live without it. I have it on my BMW 5-series (F10)...has caught a few slow leaks well in advance (easy to see how many tenths of PSI you lose each day), and very helpful during seasonal weather changes to make sure pressures remain...

New 2019 CX-9 GT. Two questions:

Looks like this is the solution referenced above: https://www.amazon.com/dp/B077RVS8LB/?tag=m20b7-20 A little pricey, but simple plug and play with existing TMPS sensors. Just need to find a discrete but accessible location to mount it. I'm thinking to the left of the steering column, which...

New 2019 CX-9 GT. Two questions:

I just recently upgraded from a 2009 CX-9 GT (1st gen) to a 2019 CX-9 GT (2nd Gen). Two questions: 1) My 2009 had the OEM 20" GT wheels/tires. I previously purchased a 18" x 8" winter wheel set from Tirerack that fit perfectly. It looks like the offset, bolt pattern, center bore, thread...

Bumping this older thread. Any closure to this issue for anyone? I have same problem on both my headlights. Leveling switch in the car does not move either headlight.

2007~2015 How to get to the CX-9 spark plugs?

Yes, throttle performance had deteriorated significantly prior to spark plug change (even when engine wasn't misfiring). Much improved once spark plugs replaced. This is definitely your issue.

2007~2015 How to get to the CX-9 spark plugs?

I just did the spark plug change today using the instructions posted here - thanks to all previous posters. In the spirit of paying it forward, here is my contribution. I have a 2009 CX-9 with the 3.7L Duratec, 90k miles and original plugs. For the last 10k miles, the car has been...

    Brake and rotor change

I wonder if the reports of OEM vs. aftermarket pads being more or less responsive is really a reflection of how spongy the brake pedal is, which is based on whether or not the brakes were recently bled. When I changed out my OEM pads (and rotors) for aftermarket ones, my pedal felt spongy...

    Installed new rotors/pads today

Did my first ever brake job today. Went with powerslot rotors and centric posi-quiet pads (fronts only). Relied mostly on the DIY instructions others have posted but had some more questions: - The new pads came with a metal plate attached to the back. The stock pads for some reason had two...

    Door Edge Guards?

Well if you look back a few posts you can see that it has been about 2 years now since I installed my guards and they are no longer on my car. They lasted about 18 months (2 summers) before the glue started to break down and the guards started falling off. They leave a nasty black residue on...

Car seat in the middle spot?

just to add, the two LATCH anchors you would use for the middle seat would lock you out of using LATCH with car seats on either side (can't have multiple car seats on same LATCH anchor). I believe, therefore, the only way to go three across is to have to do: Seatbelt, LATCH, Seatbelt or LATCH...

    Time For New Rubber!

Question - when people say the Spec X are way quieter than stock tires, aren't they comparing a brand new spec X tire vs. the old tire they are replacing with 20-30k of miles on it? Doesn't seem apples to apples since there will a noise difference between new/old regardless of brand. How...
