Looking at some historical posts on another forum on same problem it was gasket around the hatch lock/motor. Maybe leave spare tire exposed and spray some water with hose at base of hatch to see if you notice water coming in?

I tend to not go past 100k miles to replace belts & hoses but my Infiniti requires replacement of serpentine every 36k miles so that one is the outlier.

Have you sat in any other Mazda models that felt more comfortable? Might be easier to retrofit with that than one from another manufacturer. I'm not readily aware of any 3rd parties making seat replacements for Mazdas other than those that autocross Miata examples...

I use old vehicle rubber floor mats with grippy fingers for the carpet to stay in place… under my Rhino ramps. They never move on garage concrete. I use second gear start on mine to creep up onto my ramps
