For the record - my plugs came out with the electrodes coated in carbon, but with roughly the same gaps as their replacements.
Didn’t want to put that there, as I really don’t care to stir pots.
I assume you’re talking about plugs for the NA engine? Because the ones I got were and are still $20.XX a piece, and Amazon’s ‘as low as’ price is $20.12.
I probably could have gotten mine a bit cheaper, but I found a legit seller with fast shipping and stopped there.
I've done post-mortem examinations on a few CV driveshaft joints, and documented more than a few OE replacement axle shafts for technical evaluation, so I have some pretty solid professional background, here. Regardless of the name brand that ends up going on the box, any axle shaft worth...
You have multiple pieces between the oil pan and the dipstick port on the valve cover. There is going to be a set of tolerances on each of those pieces, including the gaskets between several of them. That’s going to introduce an error that I’d bet stacks up to at least 1 mm of potential...
They would definitely be on my short list if I were in the market for light-duty AT tires. The only downside is that they’re on the heavy end of the range for their size. It’s probably a big contributor to the complaints about a rough ride.
Since you phrased your question as comparing to the entire Pirelli brand...
The only blanket statement you can really make between tire brands is that some companies are conservative with their UTQG treadwear ratings, while others will be pretty optimistic in estimating how long their tires...
It sounds like you lost a bushing in a steering gear joint. Unless you live very close to a shop that can do suspension work, I’d make arrangements to have it towed in for repairs.
Eh… the lack of longitudinal grooves on the WeatherActive is going to hurt hydroplaning resistance, and the tread compounds on 3PMSF tires pretty much universally sacrifice wet grip. If you live in an area where they make sense for you, then absolutely - get the WeatherActives. I’m in an area...
But the change from 225/55 to 235/50 is changing the aspect ratio. Maybe you mean you didn’t change the sidewall height, but you did that, too. A 245/50 tire will have nearly the same sidewall height as a 225/55, while a 235/50 will be a bit shorter, at least in the same wheel diameter. The...
I’ve seen posts where people assume that because the CX-5’s headlights are small that they must be bad. Nope… some of the best headlights on the market.
