Nevermind, it literally is that easy. I followed steps in here:

I need to remove the back panel of my 2010 CX-9 center arm rest, where the HVAC controls and rear vents are. Does anyone know how to remove it?
Here is a video, but there must be other steps as it looks too easy to remove:
I'm trying to replace broken 3.5mm auxiliary input jack
Where do you live? I bought my CX9 new in Palm Springs, CA and would only get 12-18 months out of a battery. I think parking outside contribued to the problem. Every summer we'd see temps approach 120F. Once I left the desert and went to Midwest I suddenly get years out of a battery - seems...
In the third image below you can see what went wrong. This is the lock mechanism - somehow that plastic arm/peg came out of the hole its supposed to be in. I took some pictures of the inside of the lock actuator with the plastic housing removing in case its helpful for anyone else.
This...
I finally got it open, it took the better part of a day.
First I tried removing the belt molding from outside - this video is just how the chrome belt molding is on my 2010 cx9. MUST USE SKINNY PICK LIKE SHOWN. It makes it so much easier. One tab goes toward you, the other away from you...
2010 CX-9 Touring with 170K miles.
My wife went to open passenger front door last night and the exterior door handle came off in her hand. Worse, from the interior you can't unlock the door or open it.
How do I remove the interior door panel without the door open? I've removed the door...
Where I live (NE Ohio) there are required emissions checks every other year. They are administered via a 24 hour self-service kiosk where you roll up and connect the kiosk to your computer via OBD2.
I did the test, it passed, but immediately afterwards (I moved the car just a few feet) the...
I have a 2010 CX-9. I have the bose radio with screen for backup camera on it. The bluetooth is no longer compatible with modern phones, so I purchased this device that plugs into AUX 3.5mm audio port and gets power from a USB cigarette lighter port adapter next to it...
Thanks for the post! Both my 2nd row seats won't fold flat - I started taking apart seat using guide in the service manual but turns out I didn't have to.
In the first photo below, before removing the lever it looked to me that all is good since you can see the end of the cable seated into...
I'm not sure what would cause the remote to work but not the switch by the steering wheel.
My spring was extremely rusted well beyond repair, so I replaced the entire handle. I don't have a working power lift gate anymore since my liftgate arm ripped itself out of the liftgate: 2010 CX-9 power...
I don't have the tools/skills to do that. I've approached a couple places, they don't want to do it or they want a bunch of money to remove/re-install the glass as they are weary of welding near it causing it to heat up and shatter.
I looked in the CX-9 workshop manual how to disconnect the...
There were three options in 2010.
The bose 4.3" unit non-nav with backup camera.
The larger 7" screen with navigation (I think also bose) that has a backup camera.
Radio with no screen. You could get a dealer installed OEM option for a backup camera in the rearview mirror.
This thread implies...
But the website says its only for 2010s with Nav unit - Crutchfield says the same, why I'm asking here if anyone has actually used either of these kits on the Bose 4.3" headunit.

Anyone know if you can use AX-MAZCAM-6V or AX-CAM6V from Axxess to retain camera from OEM rear camera on a modern head unit?
I've seen a number of threads about this - but then mention the Nav OEM headunit. I have the "Bose Audio System; with 4.3" LCD Screen" in a 2010 CX-9 Touring.
I've has Sirius XM in my 2010 CX-9 since I bought it new over 12 years ago. Suddenly overnight, it just says "Acquiring signal' - despite 12 years of solid performance. Whats strange is if I drive to the other side of town, it works fine! I have to drive about 10-15 miles before it works...
So I guess this is why my old liftgate handle wasn't working :) I have the power liftgate. Replacement handle from realmazdaparts.com
Wasn't too bad, the hardest part is finding suitable replacement for broken clips.
I used this motor (for left side of car) - Amazon ASIN B07P94NZ3L
https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B07P94NZ3L/
Fixed it no problems! Not bad for $30 motor. I don't need it to last another 12 years, sure the car will be gone by then.
This video helped me take off left side rear door panel...
I'm having this problem too. Driver side rear window - goes up/down fine but when it gets all the way to the top you get a grinding sound, like the motor doesn't know its reached the top.
Replacing the motor seems easy enough based on this video, and the motors are ~30 on Amazon for non-OEM...
I have a replacement handle on the way from realmazdaparts.com . The service manual shows taking almost all the inside trim off the liftgate to replace this handle - is that what you had to do when cleaning it?
My outside handle doesn't work, and I can tell the power liftgate strut is about to...
