I know its the future ( well actually the present ) with all the driver assistance and I guess people now want self driving cars. Personally I think its a bad trend. The quality of drivers on the road today is already terrible (mostly because of all the distractions ( primarily their phone) and...
I was going to have U-haul do mine but they are having issues getting the harness and charging too much. Do you recall what tools you needed? I currently have limited access as I am not in my home state. Were the instructions good? I'm guessing it's a two person job
Neither such tax exists in Montana. Annual registration on a 50k vehicle starts around $280 and drops every year based on depreciation. Once a car hits 10 years of age you never pay again and the plate becomes permanent. No sales tax is a real luxury especially on big ticket items.
I spent 25...
I did a search and found a few posts about people trying to turn off their DRL's but none were for the CX-9. I am contemplating having the dealer do this when the car goes in for service next week. Reason being my 2016 CX-5 had issues with the DRL's ( burned out apparently..one was dead and one...
Congrats and that sounds like a great deal. There are some advantages to getting a "new/used" vehicle from a dealer. If you don't mind a few miles on the clock you can really save some money get some extras as well. The 2019's have a few extra features but not critical ones in my opinion. Car...
I had my dealer add in one additional year warranty on the 2018 CX-9 GT I just bought as part of closing the deal. The extended service contract is with a company called West Coast Assurance? I admit I did not do a lot of research on this as the car has it's new 3 year coverage and this was just...
You must be certain your going to keep it for that long to even consider it. I have bought extended warranties in the past and always seem to out grow the car in less time. You get 3 years from the factory ( I do wish it were at least 4 like others) so you are really buying 5 years extra. Price...
I recently faced the same decision and went with the 2018 GT w/o vented seats. If I lived full time in a hot weather area like Florida or Arizona I think it would be worth it especially if you had a long commute. I've had dozens of cars of all varieties through the years and none of them had...
I noticed on the front add on piece on mine they used long screws to attach it but they are not the proper size and stick out half an inch. Amazing how much half-assed there is out there in the world. I'm taking it in for them to re-do a tinted window that was not done right and they are going...
I did buy the dealer driven 2018 GT AWD. (It was the sales manager that had it. I talked to him about it) They actually had two of the identical vehicles and had just sold the other one. Obviously with 5500 miles on the clock, 2019's sitting there and it's an AWD which they don't sell many of in...
Agree on the windshield. I've already picked up two sizable chips in 1500 miles. Of course one is right in line of driver sight. This glass is supposed to be thicker sound insulating glass so I hope when it's replacement time it they can get the proper OEM glass.. Not sure why this seems to brittle.
Are you talking about the additional chrome front and rear bumper add on's? My 2018 GT came with those. The rear piece on mine was coming off at one of the corners as one of the plastic rivet fasteners had already broken off so I just replaced that myself.
Interesting observations. I agree that Mazda should offer the CX-9 without the 3rd row. We are couple with no kids and will never use it. I read somewhere that they can be removed and Mazda has some type of filler for the empty space. I'd like to know how much weight that saves.
We traded in...
Thanks for the info. I won't start to think about it until I hut 50k miles or so. At that point I will be able to decide if this is a 10 year car or a 5 year car for us.
I had that same N55 engine in my 2011 535i and I feel your pain. It's what they did so well with their in-line 6's...
If that GT is an AWD then that's a very good price providing they can't get you anywhere else. That is the other plus of Mazda's these days. Dealers will deal. There is no such thing as the "price is the price". They can change daily just like an airline ticket does.
I've only had my 2018 for a few months and 2000k miles and so far I think it is a stellar car and I've had some great ones in my past to compare to. It's just a solid feeling car and does rival some of the luxury brands as far as interior, features and refinement. I took a hard look at the...
I'd also be interested to know if anyone comes across the dreaded carbon deposit build up. Mazda supposedly has a system that mitigates that issue but time will tell. I'm beginning to think some of that is over-blown paranoia.
