I dropped it practicing going up curbs (I have to get up a curb as part of my plan to get it in my apt, along with a janky ramp for 3 stairs; otherwise I'll have to keep it in my storage). I was doing fine and tried it in 2nd gear, stalled and dropped bike. Guards took all the hit, just some...
I think there is some huge confusion caused by the term (misnomer) "warped". More often than not the disc isn't actually warped like you might compare to a bent wheel or floppy pizza doughs.. it's actually high spots on the pad caused by brake pad material and rotor bonding. If your brakes were...
No. You'd need like 7.5-8qt to reach the crankshaft. 6 wouldn't even reach the balancing shaft. 6.5 likely would. Since a shop did it, you could probably get it addressed for your time only...If I did it myself, I wouldn't bother.
I'm talking about the crumple comment.. the unbraked limit for AU cx5s for example is 750kg or 1650lb. And who's to say wether that's a brake power consideration, a legal consideration or a chassis.. brakes are nice to have and easy to add, but I I wouldn't stress about ops trailer weight being...
Lol, that's kind of cheap they would charge you to upgrade the drain bolt which is really for their convinience. Tbh, after so many times it should be replaced anyways as it gets knocked. But yea, the hex is a bad design.
I have a tee, but oem is a 90 deg elbow. The top leads to the vacuum pump and the side leads to a port on the IC after the TB. The vacuum pump port is what you wanna use to get into the pcv (don't neglect the pcv, it causes all sorts of issue when it doesnt operate correctly). The other port is...
If you don't need a winter tire, atlas force UHP. I got them on my cx5 (255/40/20) and am impressed with dry and wet grip. I paid 80 a piece on simpletire.com also got them for my moms vw in 17s for $60. After running toyos proxes, nitto and continental (2-2.5x the price) I feel like I was...
My can and its lines are out of reach. I use the vacuum line off the pump where there Is (factory) and elbow that leads to the throttle body or maybe its the IC. Point being you want it in a line that leads towards the pcv/pump not just into the intake manifold. I'll upload a pic later
Why I stopped using blanks.. they always ended up with heat spots, then you have to get them lathed ( a rip off considering you could probably buy a new set of blank rotors for the labor charge of lathing), or replaced hem. Now that I use drill and slotted it's unlikely ill ever need them...
Changed my pads.. $30 for all corners on ebay. Was going to install some stainless lines and bleed, but it was more work than I wanted to do at the time.
