I re ad somewhere that for some vehicles, you cant disable the traction control if the TPMs light is on.
I couldnt confirm this so I got winter wheels with sensors to be safe.
The power loss is total BS. Mazda should really step up and acknowledge it and either offer a reasonable technical explanation or fix it.
Almost as bad as the torture seats.
I live where is might not go above 20 F for weeks at a time so inconsistent power to merge and pass is a big deal...
Im shocked to hear anyone thinks theyre comfortable. If my waste and hips were any wider(which theyre not to begin with - I wear a 32), I would be sitting ON top the bolsters.
Also, the seat base is short. There is a 1 gap between the end of the seat and the back of my knee.
The seats really are terrible. Narrow base with hard bolsters. Wider back that lacks bolster support.
I have no idea what body type this would actually work for.
My hips are in pain after 30 minutes. Being a skinnier guy, I dont have much of my own cushioning to help with the hard bolsters...
I also would have found something else had I known. I actually almost walked away from buying mine because of this. It was a cold 5F day when I took it out for a test drive. It didnt feel right so I took out a N/A GT. Felt about the same. Got back in the turbo after the temps went up and it was...
Thanks for chiming in with your dealers response.
Would be nice to get an explanation as to why its louder when its cold.
Its a significant difference once its below 35F. I forgot all about it until the temps dropped.
Would you mind sharing in my other thread what they did for the brake squeal?
There isnt a whole lot we can do. The car is sometimes underpowered when its below 20F. Its inconsistent and isnt so extreme that its a safety issue.
As Uno mentioned, Mazda has acknowledged its expected for the performance to change with temperature.
Im certainly annoyed, but cant do much...
Its barely audible when its above freezing.
A few others have reported this sound as well. Another post(that was ironically bumped today by someone else) describes it as a mosquito.
I bet its a thing for all turbo models. Some are more sensitive to these things than others.
Its back! 100% louder when cold.
It never went away but was barely noticeable in the warmer months.
Im really not happy with the cold weather quirks this car has.
Power loss
Shift flair
Random electronic buzzing
10F on my drive home tonight. Seems like it still has the initial grunt around 2k then starts to fall flat.
Its also really inconsistent. Sometimes its not so noticeable. Sometimes it feels gutless and I cant believe my foot is as far down as it is.
Not related but Im not so impressed with...
The power loss is not related to engine operating temp.
I really would like an explanation from Mazda about this.
I still think it might be related to the awd system predicting traction loss and pulling power.
The engine should be able to safely make the same amount of power when its below...
thanks for sharing. My 16.5 never had this issue. I currently have a set of aftermarket pads and rotors that are still quiet.
My 19 squeaks almost every time after sitting though. I sprayed everything with brake cleaner this weekend when I put the winter wheels on. Havent driven it yet.
I also...
Pretty sure youll have to get it from underneath with the turbo. Wiring harness and turbo plumbing are in the way.
Id love to hear how you go about it if you do wind up getting it from above.
Please keep us updated.
Could be. That was such a joke. Unlikely the different exhaust and air box setups resulted in a 45 hp difference for the ls1.
My ws6 put down close to the corvette ratings at the wheels with just bolts ons and a tune.
Seems like 9 out of 10 times after my 2019 GT-R sits for a few hours, the brakes squeak at the first stop. Sometimes it takes 1-2 stops before it goes away. Its quite loud. Appears to only be coming from the passenger side. Cant tel ifs its the front or back.
After the first few stops it does...
Figured Id follow up since my appointment, which was a total waste of time.
The customer report was:strange behavior when shifting from first to second when cold
That in and of itself annoys me because I specifically said there is a shift flair. Something someone in the automotive service...
