Totally get it. But what did they say when you went?
I’m super particular about things like this as well. However, if the fluid was low in a transmission like this, there would be some odd behavior. The lack of issues is your data that it’s at the proper level.
I have a shift flair into second...
Thanks for sharing. Quite the post. Just doesn’t make any sense that the tune would be so different on the cx5. If anything, one would think they would allow it to make more power considering its AWD.
Could also be bad tires. My Dealer replaced mine because the road force numbers were so bad. This was after the switched wheels and tires de another vehicle.
The second gen cx5 is also quite sensitive to any imbalance or tire imperfections.
Outside of the soul red issue, the likelihood of paint chips really depends on the driving environment.
Driving around town in FL, chips probably aren’t likely.
Driving at highway speeds in VT where they put rock salt down and cars are entering the highway after driving on dirt roads.....
I agree. Unfortunately it’s a real pain with the turbo model. It has to be done from underneath. With the NA models, you can get it from up top by moving the air box. Moving the air box doesn’t help with the turbo because of the turbo plumbing. I’ve tried :(
I’d check the plastic panels for finger prints after you bring it in. Unlikely they’ll check it.
Local dealer(where I do not purchase my vehicles from) said they did. I checked and it was clear nothing was touched. I brought it in for cold shift flair (likely normal) so it’s total BS that they...
Would be nice if this turned into a TSB. Going to a dealer with “I found a thread on a forum where some guy got his fixed” probably won’t work so well.
I’ve just been turning up the volume. I do still find it annoying after a year.
I’ve only experienced the issue with temps that warm after the vehicle was at highway speeds (60+mph) for at least 5 miles or so.
I’m it sure anyone has tested that exact scenario.
Please report back after you do. I’m Interested if this also impacts the 2020s. Would love to hear that it doesn’t to stay somewhat optimistic that Mazda can improve the tune on the 19s.
Experienced this again with “warmer” temps.
Drove for 8 miles at 70-75mph. Outside temperature was 31*F. Got off the highway and was stopped at 2 red lights within a half miles. Minimal to no boost as I accelerated to 40mph both times.
Stopped and turned the car off for 8 minutes. Got back in...
Likely the remote starter like others have said. I installed a Fortin a few weeks ago and there was extra wires just like that. I definitely didn’t leave them hanging like that though.
If it were my car, I’d take the panel off to see just how crappy their work is before trusting anything else...
I don’t notice this on my 19 GT-R. Even with my winter wheel setup that never balanced that well(crappy aftermarket wheels?) My empty passenger seat looks like it’s going to vibrate off the floor at times. Did the same thing with the stock tires that I had the dealer replace. So I’ve had and...
Total bummer, but you made the right call. My seats haven’t gotten any better after 15k.
Been driving the wife’s 16 GT the past 2 days. So much more comfortable.
My guess is that there was probably never an issue specific to that color. I’ve had 3 16+ Mazda’s and the all chip easily.
