Well, washing/waxing my CX-5 the other day, noticed a small dent in the hood. So took it to dent works, the tech there looked at it and said it'll cost $80 to fix. I said when can you do it? He said right now, took him 10 minutes!
I can't see where the dent was, so I'm happy...Don't know how I...
Ok, update, went back to dealer, talked to sales lady that sold me the cx5...Told her about the ticking noise and was wondering if she'd let me listen to a new cx5 with hood up. She said no problem. She started up a 2021 sport and I had mine a few feet away...My cx5 was warmed up, the 2021 sport...
hey thejas ... I have the 2019 sport and have complained to dealer and on this forum about
the speed being reduced to much when trying to coast or even going down hill.
The dealer said they all do that.... , and on this forum , had advice that it was scb or torque
converter ... still don't know...
yrwei52 .. is that pressure treated wood ? or just regular pine...
I was thinking about buying a set of ramps from amazon for $40..
for next time need to change oil...
but those wood ramps look good and 1/3 the price... ( just a bit of labor )
guess mine sounds like both those videos myfirstmazda posted..
except his sounds louder than mine , considering he's about
5'-6' away and I was about 2-3' away ... plus guess it depends on
how good your microphone is on cell phone
5.5 qts to be at the full mark with sport ... ok , good to...
what had me questioning the loudness of the ticking was driving between
2 parked cars and hearing it with my window down...
yeah, I did get close with my camera... but could only upload 25 mb so had
to make it 'count' ... Now I learned that my cell phone has youtube and I could
upload gigs of...
ok, went to mazda dealer early this morning ... on my way once on
the highway and engine warmed up, did the Italian tune-up ...
40mph to 80mph... flooring it... It has plenty of power and no hesitation
or lack of power, no warning light ... So, I guess the rocker arms are still attached...
hey carpediem... you are probably right but the other dealer could be
worse , never been there... before I decide, I'll have to see what they say..
hey yrwei52 ... wow... ok , I'm thinking it's the fuel injectors, but don't recall
them being that loud ... I also done the pcm fix about 10...
agree , need a different dealer ,but next closest is about 40 miles away..
The engine was warmed up... but noise happens , cold or warm... and variies with
rpm.... the rpm was normal idle with warm engine in video.. didn't check the rpm
number though will do tomorrow , before I get to dealer...
hey yrwei52 for the reply... read the threads you posted and
it's not as loud as some of those videos , but it sounds like the start
of metal on metal... , it's coming from the back of the engine
top right area facing cx5 ..
can't post longer video as upload limit is about 25mb for me..
Just...
Hey all, 2019 CX-5 sport with 2,300 miles on it, bought brand new 2 years ago.
Just noticed this ticking noise while driving through parking lot, and thought,
is that my CX-5 making that noise? Got home, checked yesterday and today and
the noise is still there. I don't remember this noise when...
Oops...He posted a link for the hatch, but further in the manual
it has stuff about the battery...Pic.
Attach negative to point 4 but guess it's to prevent fire...As stated by wlong and hyflyer. Thanks.
That link that sm1ke posted about jumping battery-
why does the negative connector have to be connected to
that #4 position (not on the battery?)
just wondering ..
no stuttering with mine , but only drove couple times
in the rain so far....
2019 sport ...
no rain-x on windshield
just wash/wax then clean glass with windex
Just to chime in , I didn't know about cd with this cx5 when I bought it and
no one at the dealership said anything about it. None of the reviews I read
mentioned it either, and it wasn't printed on the invoice.
Found out about it on this site first time.... wouldn't have bought
this vehicle...
yeah, to much engine braking for me.... I complained about it
in this forum before, and best advice was to put it in neutral....
still wish I've noticed before buying ... one of the things that
is a negative for me with the cx5...
Also , mine really does it going from 20mph to 10mph.. then...
