OK, PHP and Apache were upgraded to latest and greatest, I noticed a big performance boost, let me know.

Well, since there was some severe vulnerability in VB and since I kept postponing it for other reasons, I bit the bullet and upgraded to the latest VB. The upload files will not work for now. It is additionally possible that other stuff may be broken. If so, please let me know. Thanks.

I think we got lucky because for the most part the board members are capable of resolving their disputes in a civil manner without degenerating a thread into a flamewar (flame2). And also, ot usually takes quite a bit for us to come down on someone for anything.
