I wrote a lengthy email to the Mazda USA execs and customer experience to show disappointment along with a link to this thread. Got a standard BS response from the customer service rep.
Exactly how I'm feeling now. My CX9 is now at 59.5k miles. I brought it to the dealership at 57k and they verified there was no leak. I have the Rivian SUV ordered hope I don't get unlucky till I trade this bomb in.
Anyone experiencing this issue should file a NHTSA report and hope enough of...
I have been using Clek and love them very much. Now have 1 Clek Oobr and 2 Fllos (Rear facing) in the 2nd row. Also had 1 Oobr, 1 Fllo (Rear facing) and 1 Liing in the 2nd row. Also was able to fit 1 Oobr, 1 Liing and 1 Nuna Pipa in the 2nd row.
I clearly asked for OEM coverage and he did say it's from Mazda. He said I'm not qualify for the Mazda Extended Confidence Warranties due to mileage (57k) so he's quoting me the used car warranty. But I don't see any info about that on the Mazda site.
I emailed him back to ask for better...
If you are experiencing this issue please report to NHTSA.

I thought the same when I purchased my CX9 brand new and declined the extended warranty at purchase. When I discovered the coolant issue my car has already passed 36k miles. Now 56k miles I emailed numerous dealers the best I got was above for the used car warranty.
I got 2 quotes from the...
The reason I'm considering because the Coolant leak issue with the 2.5T which usually happen from 20k to 80k. Lucky folks had the engine replaced under warranty and some not so lucky folks got billed up to $10k and Mazda isn't really helping.
$1800 in the money market may not grow you much in...
This is the cheapest quote I got so far
12mo or 12,000 miles for $1,795.00 ....
24mo or 24,000 miles for $2,295.00 .....
36mo or 36,000 miles for $2,495.00 ....
48mo or 48,000 miles for $2,895.00 or ...
60mo or 60,000 miles for $3,395.
These are all Platinum care warranties with a $0...
Few times I saw the class action outcome to have the manufacturer to reimburse owners repair cost that they paid on related repairs. In that case I think it's a big win and possible to force them for a recall.
Usually I would agree that extended warranty is not worth it. But in this case of the 2016-2019(?) CX-9's coolant leak issue with the 2.5T, I was seriously considering the extended warranty for few times but found out it's not easy to purchase one. Simply nobody seems to be interested to sell...
I just emailed a bunch of dealerships and nobody is really interested in quoting me the extended warranty. Apparently they don't even read the email and they all called me back to sell me their used CX9 and sounded disappointed to hear that I was looking for the extended warranty. And of course...
This is discouraging to hear from Mazda. My CX-9 is at 56k miles now and I want to trade it in but new cars are long wait or over priced.
My CX-9 has been consuming coolant slowly since less than 10k miles. Every 5k miles it will drop from full reservoir to half way between max and min. I...
How many miles do you have? My 2019 is at 50k right now and feel like it's a ticking time bomb. I emailed to 5 dealers for extended warranty and nobody would answer me. I'd support you to start a class action.
FYI I didn't solder anything. I used the T-Harness and installed the Fortin Evo One following the Youtube videos. It's been working fine the past 10 months except this happened.
You can try remote start and plug in a scanner see if it resets your ECU. Not sure if it's the entire ECU but at...
My free update expired on Nov 2021 and I never did any update as I never knew about this. I don't use the built-in Nav anyways just wanted it in case but realized they don't let you update at all after expire.
If 3 years free update they should let me update to the last version before my expire...
