Sounds like a vacuum leak or maf problem to me. Check the seal on the o-ring on the MAF. Check the wires and electrical connection on the MAF sensor too. Helped someone with that code before and it ended up being maf wires.
You'll get 6-10hp out of an intake, and 4-6 out of an exhaust. Cold air intakes will generally yield an extra pony or two, and you'll obviously gain more hp with a catless or hi flow catted exhaust.
Here's a dyno of a mazda 3 to give you an idea:
This car picked up 13 hp to the wheels and 9...
get your CEL diagnosed so you're not shitting away your money. I really doubt it's the front one, your car would drive like piss and have no power. I would recommend getting original replacement from Mazda as people have had issues with aftermarket ones.
There are 3 methods to removing the header -
1 - unbolt the passenger engine mount and rear engine mount, and move the engine forward 4 inches to make room to pull it up.
2 - remove the windshield cowl
3 - cut the header in half
#3 is the easiest, I've tried all 3 methods in person. Some...
Unless you get the holes filled by a body shop it will look dumb. You could soak you removed emblems in bleach and peroxide off and on for a few days to remove the silver s***, then spray paint them black to match the body. That's what most people do.
You get what you pay for. Vibrant is very high quality, with amazing looking welds. Draxas, Vibrant and Thunder all used to make headers for the 3, but are all out of production. That being said, Vibrant still has some left over stock floating around the internet you can still find. The only...
The chassis is shared with the Volvo s40, which is has a starting price of almost 30k, so needless to say it's a great chassis with above average handling in the segment.
To answer your other questions, we have electric power steering, no belt and pulley. I have an 07 which has a power...
I personally think speed3 exhausts sound bad on 3's, but if you change around the muffler and resonator you might be able to change the tone quite a bit.
I agree with everything xMazdax says on sizing. Borla's are notoriously quiet though.
Yes if both don't work it's probably a fuse. Go to a hardware store and get a voltage tester. Open your fuse box and touch to each side of all the fuses until you find the one that's dead. Then replace.
You like the canister syle? It looks like rice to me, yuck lol. I would look at magnaflow and corksport:

The corksport is quieter then the magnaflow...
those are the OEM LED tail lights. They originally only came on grand touring models and I think speeds as well. I think in 09 they put them on the s models as standard so they're not quite as exclusive, but they're much brighter and look better.
There's only one sensor that attaches to the weaponr intake manifold, it's the MAP sensor, and yes it fits perfectly. The VTCS and VIS sensors you just leave plugged in and zip tie out of the way. Additionally, you will need to provide vacuum to the VTCS sensors as well. Only other modifications...
Try checking your fuses. When I wire tucked my engine, a fuse went out and my front o2 sensor stopped working. Did you unplug the battery when you messed around with the wires?
