I think it should fall into the powertrain warranty which is 5 years/60k miles. I do hope that this is not going to be common though more cases popping up.
I got 36k from the OEM rear pads. Changed to the Centric ceramic pads and premium rotors for the rear. Planning to use Centric for the front soon as well.
My 2019 consumes coolant since it was new. It's now at 38k I've already topped off few times. Last time I've topped it off at 31k to the full mark. 7k miles later it's now at the half way to Minimum mark. I didn't notice any fluid on the floor nor the dealer ever told me if they saw any leak...

The few threads on the engine replacement cases for 2016/17 are getting me to lose confidence on the CX9 reliability. I was planning to keep the CX9 for a long time now I may look into the extended powertrain warranty.
Reading a few of these coolant leak threads result in engine replacement made me seriously consider the extended warranty now. MY CX-9 is 2019 with 38k currently.
