Yours is basically the first I've seen on this forum and I've been around since 2015. There was a post once but the car was driven through deep water.
If it was a problem I'm pretty sure there would be lots of posts on this forum.
Sounds like a decent dealer. This is one of the advantages of using a dealer, they replaced it with minimum hassle but they're probably getting reimbursed by Mazda. Could of been alot worse, them refusing and you wasting valuable time fighting with Mazda corporate then the dealer. $75 seems...
16 is probably one of the best years. 16.5 is even better. Take what you read on the internet with a grain of salt.
I've had my 16 for ten years, purchased new in April 2015 and have had zero problems. It's definitely one of the most reliable cars I've ever owned and I've owned alot. Ford...
If you're looking at 15 & 17 you won't be getting turbo or CD. Turbo came in the CX-5 in 2019 and CD came in 2018.
CX-5 is a 6 speed transmission that pretty seamless.
Either one would be a good buy depending on the service history, lack of accidents, condition, etc.
I have a 16 which is...
$3,450 is high but don't know the situation in PR. I purchased a complete B2B warranty no deductible from my local Mazda dealer after my 2019 was coming up on the end of the Powertrain warranty for $1800. It extends the warranty for another 5 yrs and 60,000 miles. I'm pretty sure I could of...
I hate to say it but it sounds like a battery issue with the FOB which probably means you need a new FOB. Sounds like the problems some owners were having with the newer CX-5's where the FOB goes into sleep mode. In that case I believe they were able to disable that function.
So you're saying you're having problems with the start button too?
When you say the 'push to start' doesn't work correctly what exactly are the symptoms? Is the start button not glowing green when you get in and press the brake pedal? Do you have to hold it up close to the start button?
If...
Does it exhibit the same behavior on the passenger door?
The parking brake will illuminate whenever you unlock/open a door.
Have you had any starting issues, is the car battery old?
A lot of issues go back to the 12 volt car battery. A weak battery plays hell on the electronics.
Have a 2019 Reserve purchased new with 61,000 miles now on the ODO. Car has been perfect, not one single problem.
Mazda has extended the warranty for the possibility of the cylinder head cracking.
Replace the radiator. They're inexpensive. That foam may be some sealant the previous owner put in the radiator so you wouldn't notice the leak.
Also if you continue to drive it make sure the coolant is full otherwise you could destroy the engine. I'd take it to a radiator shop asap.
